Surah Aal-E-Imran (3:152) Quran.com
And Allah had certainly fulfilled His promise to you when you were killing the enemy by His permission until [the time] when you lost courage and fell to disputing about the order [given by the Prophet] and disobeyed after He had shown you that which you love. Among you are some who desire this world, and among you are some who desire the Hereafter. Then he turned you back from them [defeated] that He might test you. And He has already forgiven you, and Allah is the possessor of bounty for the believers. (Sahih International)
Surah Aal-E-Imran (3:154) Quran.com
Then after distress, He sent down upon you security [in the form of] drowsiness, overcoming a faction of you, while another faction worried about themselves, thinking of Allah other than the truth - the thought of ignorance, saying, "Is there anything for us [to have done] in this matter?" Say, "Indeed, the matter belongs completely to Allah." They conceal within themselves what they will not reveal to you. They say, "If there was anything we could have done in the matter, some of us would not have been killed right here." Say, "Even if you had been inside your houses, those decreed to be killed would have come out to their death beds." [It was] so that Allah might test what is in your breasts and purify what is in your hearts. And Allah is Knowing of that within the breasts. (Sahih International)
Surah Al-Fajr (89:16) Quran.com
But when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me." (Sahih International)
Surah Al-Insan (76:2) Quran.com
Indeed, We created man from a sperm-drop mixture that We may try him; and We made him hearing and seeing. (Sahih International)
Surah Al-Ahzab (33:11) Quran.com
There the believers were tested and shaken with a severe shaking. (Sahih International)
Surah An-Nisa (4:6) Quran.com
And test the orphans [in their abilities] until they reach marriageable age. Then if you perceive in them sound judgement, release their property to them. And do not consume it excessively and quickly, [anticipating] that they will grow up. And whoever, [when acting as guardian], is self-sufficient should refrain [from taking a fee]; and whoever is poor - let him take according to what is acceptable. Then when you release their property to them, bring witnesses upon them. And sufficient is Allah as Accountant. (Sahih International)
Surah Al-Fajr (89:15) Quran.com
And as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and favors him, he says, "My Lord has honored me." (Sahih International)
Surah Al-Baqarah (2:124) Quran.com
This is the end of the list. ٱبْتَلَىٰٓ was only mentioned 8 times in the Quran. And [mention, O Muhammad], when Abraham was tried by his Lord with commands and he fulfilled them. [Allah] said, "Indeed, I will make you a leader for the people." [Abraham] said, "And of my descendants?" [Allah] said, "My covenant does not include the wrongdoers." (Sahih International)
